It's an homage to the spanish sailing ships of the 16th century.
The cases we used for this watch where made by the german Watchunion group and are well know from boutique watchbrands like Kemmner and others. The stock gaskets where replaced by ones made of Viton. At the begining we planned to use Seagull movements (to keep the budget low), but then finally decided to go for Eta 2824-2 with decorated rotors. The customized dials are relumed with Superluminova C3/Orange Once the assembling was finished, all movements where regulated to COSC-like parameters For more roughness, we spend them also schock-and vibration absorbtion rings which are conected with the movement holder. A local strapmaker supplied fine leatherstraps and buckles. The casebacks are nicely engraved. |
